Obituary for Jestin J. Gonse

Jestin J. Gonse, 25, of Elizabethtown entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home due to an undiagnosed heart condition.
He was born October 7, 1991 in Hershey and was the loving son of James W. Gonse Sr. of Elizabethtown and Kathy (Kriner) Shytle of NC.
Jestin was a member of the American Legion Post 329 in Elizabethtown. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and working on cars but his greatest love was spending time with family. He had a wonderful smile and would light up a room when he walked in. His laugh was so big and genuine that it didn't matter if you found his jokes funny because his laugh alone would bring you to laughter as well.
He was a beloved son, loving father, brother and grandson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James R. Barnes.
In addition to his parents Jestin is survived by his son, Jaden Gonse of Elizabethtown; three siblings, sister, Kristin Kuhn of Middletown; brother, James W. Gonse Jr. of Middletown; brother Matthew Long of NC; paternal grandmother, Donna Barnes; step-siblings, CJ Winters, Marcos Martinez, Chelsea Winters; companion Emily J. Pfautz and her daughter Nicole B. Pfautz and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be a tribute to Jestin's life on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 260 East Main St. Middletown. There will be a viewing from 5:00 PM until the hour of service on Friday at the funeral home.
