Alfred C. Johnson, 79, of Highspire entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 19, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 30, 1937 in Newberrytown and was the loving son of the late Willis and Ethel (Smith) Johnson.
Alfred was a 1955 graduate of the New Cumberland High School.
He was Protestant by faith and would attend Christian Life Assembly Church with his daughter.
Alfred's hobbies included fishing, watching the Phillies and hanging with his friends at the 75+ Middletown McDonalds Club.
In addition to his parents, Alfred is preceded in death by his wife Dianne (Polm) Johnson; daughter, Lori L. Johnson and siblings, Dave, Harry, Jim, John and Elwood Johnson, Norma Burger and Susanna Wilt.
Alfred is survived by two sons, James D. Johnson of Tampa Fl, Michael C. Johnson of Elizabethtown; daughter, Lisa K. Schaffner and her husband Michael of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Farin and Corey Landis, Jessica and Janiell Johnson, Elizabeth Kennedy, Justin and Brendon Schaffner; three great grandchildren, Rochelle Campbell, Zamber Kennedy and Corey Landis Jr.; brother, Paul Johnson; sisters, Elsie Etter, Reba Emmerson and Helen Fulkenstine.
A tribute to Alfred's life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Matinchek Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 260 East Main St. Middletown, PA 17057 with the Rev. Andrew Grate officiating. There will be a viewing from 6:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
